Election information

Stz’uminus First Nation currently holds elections for all 10 seats of Chief and Council every three years. Our elections are held under the Stz’uminus First Nation Election Code.

Elections are decided by the majority of votes by ‘electors’ or members of our Nation. There are no eligibility requirements for the position of Chief Councillor. All members of Stz’uminus First Nation, whether living on or off-reserve, qualify to be candidates for councillors.
