In the past two years, the Stz’uminus First Nation has embarked on an ambitious plan to enhance the economic independence of the Nation. Central to this initiative was the creation of the Coast Salish Development Corporation (CSDC), a standalone entity charged with managing the business enterprises of the Nation, including the Nation’s Husky Gas Station and A&W Restaurant. The CSDC also oversees development of Band lands that have been set aside for business development, including the Four Corners, a strategic location on the Trans Canada Highway.
