I.T. & Communications

At the heart of any organization, any community, is communications.

It can be as simple as two people talking over their morning coffee or as complicated as sending and receiving electronic documents over the internet.

Stz’uminus Nation’s I.T. & Communications Department makes sure that our highly sophisticated information technology systems keep functioning and that information between staff keeps flowing.

We make sure that staff access to high speed internet and electronic mail is always working. We also maintain more than 200 computer stations and peripheral hardware in both Administration offices and in other Stz’uminus facilities including schools and health offices.

I.T. & Communications also keeps information flowing between Stz’uminus and the outside world. The department manager maintains this web site, making sure that the latest information from Council and Administration, as well as Stz’uminus business ventures, is available to our own community and others across Canada.

The department also publishes the monthly community newsletter – Stz’uminus as well as a contract printing operation.
